Coronavirus Outbreak

Good Neighbors’ Response to the Coronavirus Outbreak

As coronavirus spreads globally, the COVID-19 is now present in nearly every country. As a global leading humanitarian and development NGO, Good Neighbors is immediately adapting its program and scaling up its activities to prevent further spreads of the epidemic in 45 countries.

Most of Good Neighbors Partnership Countries already confirmed the infection of coronavirus and the threat forecasts to expand more rapidly in these vulnerable countries. We are very concerned because in many countries that we work at have weak public health systems. This multiplies the infection threats in these countries. Especially, children and their families in vulnerable communities are facing severe risks since they lack clean water and hygiene products to clean their hands. This is the very first method to prevent COVID-19 and they cannot access basic health services and care.

Good Neighbors is working around the clock to protect our children and their families and prevent the further spread of the epidemic in the level of both communities and nations.

At the community level, we disseminate information about coronavirus, how to prevent and control infection and affirmation of community referral system. We support responding kits of hygiene products against the epidemic.

At the national level, we are working with national health authorities, UN and international humanitarian societies. Good Neighbors is helping to establish a COVID-19 diagnosis system and to prevent the spread of viruses and other infections.

No one single NGO can solve this global challenge alone. Governments, private sectors, international agencies, and civil societies need to be work together to overcome adversity. In this regard, Good Neighbors will work together with the local volunteers to the international partners to ensure no one is left behind from enjoying healthy and safe lives.

All our response is possible thanks to your support. Please join us to save lives and keep the safety of children and the vulnerable. We are ready to respond to you and COVID-19.
