Good Neighbors donates COVID-19 test kits and masks to Nepal Department of Health
On June 16th, Good Neighbors Nepal (Representative JaeKyun Roh) delivered RT-PCR test kits and masks, worth USD $ 144,000, in response to COVID-19.
As of June 14th, Nepal has a total of 5,760 confirmed cases of COVID-19, and the number continues to rise as the Indian government closed its borders, and Nepal workers are returning home. Additionally, 1 million immigrant workers are expected to return home after losing their jobs due to COVID-19, raising concern over the further spread of the virus.
In response to this, Good Neighbors Nepal has donated 10,000 COVID-19 test kits capable of precise testing to the Nepal Department of Health.
Nepal Representative JaeKyun Rho stated, “Nepal has been conducting COVID-19 tests, but was in need of test kits that could provide precise results,” adding that he hopes “the support of Good Neighbors can be of great help in stopping the spread of COVID-19.”
Good Neighbors is continuing its support for COVID-19 emergency response, working with local governments and societies in 39 partner countries, and our support to Nepal through COVID-19 test kits marks the third time Korean-made COVID-19 test kits have been sent to overseas, after Myanmar and Madagascar.
All our response is possible thanks to your support. Please join us to save lives and keep the safety of children and the vulnerable.
We are ready to respond to you and COVID-19.
