Afghanistan

Good Neighbors Afghanistan has been actively working in Afghanistan as a humanitarian and development organization since 2002. Bangladesh

Good Neighbors Bangladesh is a humanitarian and development organization. We started in Dhaka, Bangladesh in 1996 with the sole purpose of giving disadvantaged children a glimmer of hope. Our greatest mission is to improve the lives of others especially those of children through education, community and women development, health, sanitation, and disaster relief projects. Currently, we work in 14 areas across the country, supporting approximately 20,500 children and 18,500 families to improve their lives. We implement development aid and network with other organizations in Bangladesh. We are also a partner with the government, international aid agencies, and local communities for advocacy on raising public awareness while recruiting and training volunteers and professionals.

Good Neighbors Indonesia was formally established and registered as a local organization under the local name, Yayasan Gugah Nurani Indonesia in 2009. We have been working in 17 sites in 10 provinces through Community Development Project(CDP). The provinces where we have been working are Aceh, North Sumatera, West Sumatera, West Java, DKI Jakarta, Jogjakarta, East Java, South Sulawesi, West Nusa Tenggara and East Nusa Tenggara. Sri Lanka

Good Neighbors Sri Lanka has been working in Sri Lanka since the disastrous aftermath of the Tsunami in 2004. While we are primarily working for child development, communities are also facilitated with alternative ways of income to gain self-sufficiency. Through the on-going support, Good Neighbors Sri Lanka is supporting 3 CDPs (Community Development Projects) in Anuradhapura District, Puttalam District and Rathnapura District, mainly in the areas of child development and livelihood development. 4,500 children and 2,900 families are directly beneficiated from on-going projects. We are implementing particular projects in collaboration with government agencies, likeminded organizations and beneficiary communities.

Tajikistan

Good Neighbors Tajikistan was established in 1998 for supporting civil war orphans in Dushanbe. We have been supporting more than 12,000 children in 16 regions through regular sponsors and conducts various CDPs (Community Development Projects). We expect to promote self-reliance of community and make children and local people live in better life.
In 2016, our organization becomes a member of Rapid Emergency Assessment and Coordination Team (REACT) which manages and involves disaster response and emergency relief. Thailand Foundation

Good Neighbors (Thailand) Foundation was registered as a local, Thai foundation in 2015. The foundation currently works to promote child protection and education in Thailand, in the northern highland areas in Chiang Rai. The project aims to facilitate the integration of disadvantaged children from ethnic minority or stateless groups into the formal Thai school system, by providing bilingual teachers that help students to keep up with the Thai-language education. Though Thailand is a country with a thriving economy compared to neighboring countries, its population in rural areas, especially in border areas, are very vulnerable, suffer from poverty and face challenges in accessing basic social services and protection. Good Neighbors (Thailand) Foundation plans to expand its work in Thailand, through holistic community development programs, advocacy campaigns, and working effectively with partner organizations. GN (Thailand) Foundation welcomes opportunities to work together with corporations, NGOs, local civil society organizations, and government to work towards poverty alleviation and promote and protect child rights and the rights of the most vulnerable.

Global Capacity Development Center

Good Neighbors Global Capacity Development Center (GCDC) was established in 2017, to explicitly focus on the capacity development of staff in Good Neighbors International (GNI) Country offices. GCDC is committed to building the competencies of GNI staff all around the world by offering a diverse range of training opportunities from hands-on, practical training on technical skills needed for field implementation of community development programs to supporting organizational development such as local governance, Results-Based Management (RBM), Country Strategic Planning, and financial management. GCDC seeks to bring the best training resources to GNI staff by learning and sharing the knowledge gained from direct, field experience of subject matter experts from both within and outside of GNI. Cameroon

Good Neighbors Cameroon began to work in Cameroon in 2014. We assist rural and urban communities through child sponsorship and CDPs (Community Development Projects) such as construction of schools, hospitals and water points in villages or regions deprived of these basic facilities. We carry out WASH(Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) education, as well as help displaced people by Boko Haram insurgencies in the Far North borders of Cameroon. South Sudan

Good Neighbors South Sudan began to operate in 2013. We concentrate on sustainable community development through wholistic approaches to build resilient and self-reliant communities in Yei River State. Good Neighbors Rwanda began to operate for supporting victims during the Genocide in 1994. We have been expanded our operations in 4 districts; Gasabo, Kamony, Gisagara, Nyamagabe. We have been implementing various projects to support the most vulnerable children and their families and to promote community-driven development in urban and rural areas.
