  Back to the Projects List

Project Type: Water Well

Country: Chad

Recipients: 690

Project Detail
Kadouar is a large village and the people of this village consume water from the river because they cannot make a well in their village because of constant flooding. The river water is dirty and so they get sick often. The hand pump well will help improve the health of the villagers. Chad is Africa`s fifth-largest nation suffers from inadequate infrastructure and internal conflict. Poverty is rife, and health and social conditions compare unfavorably with those elsewhere in the region. After the war ended, people started to come back to the villages to reside. However, as the war devastated the area, there is no infrastructure founded. In particular, there is a serious water scarcity problem. Good Neighbors, Somang Society and The Korea Daily are joining the efforts to provide drinking water and prevent children from diseases caused by consumption of dirt water.
