Here's what we're up to in Ethiopia:
Child Development
Melkam Children Center

 Melkam Children Center

Melkam Children Center offers education to 140 children who would have otherwise been neglected due to poverty. We promote the growth of children by offering school meals and by providing school uniforms, shoes, and underwear.

The center also promotes education about HIV/AIDS and personal sanitation. We work with families to teach them about income responsibility and to strengthen their role as the primary protectors of children.

Lideta Family Development Project
 Lideta Family Development Project

The number of children who lost their parents to HIV/AIDS has been increasing. Therefore, appropriate measures are required. a mass-education campaign about small loans and education is required to help generate income for residents as most of the residents live day-to-day.

We offer tuition fees, transportation fees, itineraries and uniforms to 472 poor students, age 7-19, to help them receive a proper education. We operate summer vacation classes and supplementary classes as well. Good Neighbors also operates a library for children. Through education and health care, we are working to prevent society from neglecting children. In addition, we are showing children that they can contribute to society as well.
