President’s Volunteer Service Award
Good Neighbors is proud to be a certifying organization of the President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA), the premier volunteer awards program, that encourages citizens to live a life of service.
Here are the key facts about the PVSA. Detail information about the award can be found at the PVSA’s official website at: http://www.presidentialserviceawards.gov
- Any individual, family or group that meets the program’s criteria can receive Presidential recognition for volunteer hours served over a 12-month period or over the course of a lifetime
- Recipients must be United States citizens or lawfully admitted permanent residents of the United States.
- Awards are issued to volunteers whose service hours go towards efforts to support Good Neighbors (GN). Additional levels of participation with the organization, e.g. charitable support, are not a factor considered for the award.
Award recipients can choose among different options for award recognition:

A personalized certificate of achievement
A congratulatory letter from the president of the United States
A combination of all three of the above
