- [Ghana](https://www.goodneighbors.org/country/ghana/) - Since its official registration and commencement of operations in Ghana in 2016, Good Neighbors Ghana has been actively engaged in various health initiatives, starting with the e-Tracker roll-out project in partnership with the Ghana Health Service, USAID, Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), and Samsung Electronics. Building on this foundation, we have continued to enhance health services across Ghana by implementing several key projects. These include the Global Epidemic Prevention Platform Promotion Project, the Community-based Malaria Prevention Project, and the Maternal and Child Health Improvement Project. Our efforts are in collaboration with the Ghanaian health sector, relevant line ministries, local government units, and community partners. Additionally, we have provided essential logistics support to the Akatsi North District, significantly improving the effectiveness and efficiency of service delivery to patients in their homes. Currently, Good Neighbors Ghana is focused on reducing teenage pregnancy in the Akatsi North District and Adaklu District in the Volta Region. This initiative is conducted in partnership with the Ghana Health Service and the Ghana Education Service in the districts.
- [Kenya](https://www.goodneighbors.org/country/kenya/) - Good Neighbors began its mission in Kenya in 1995, focusing on helping street children in Korogocho, Nairobi’s largest slum. Initially, a children’s center was established to provide these children, who lacked access to basic necessities like food and clothing, with a safe haven. Through the support of Good Neighbors, the children were introduced first to informal education and, later, to formal schooling. The initiative started with just three children who were identified, sponsored, and enrolled in a boarding primary school, eventually expanding to support many more children across different educational levels. In 1997, Good Neighbors Kenya further extended its impact by opening a medical clinic to provide healthcare services to underprivileged community members and street children. By 2000, the organization had expanded its operations to Dandora Slum, focusing on supporting vulnerable neighbors affected by hunger, disasters, and oppression. The goal was to improve the quality of life for children and foster community resilience and self-reliance. Today, Good Neighbors Kenya operates in 10 project areas, including Nairobi (Korogocho, Dandora, Mukuru), Kajiado (Bissil), Narok (Meguarra), Kisii (Ogembo), Siaya (Rarieda), Embu, Turkana, and Marsabit Counties. In collaboration with partners like the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), we are working to empower 21,500 children and their parents, striving to transform their communities and create sustainable change.

The organization’s ultimate goal is to transform communities by empowering individuals socio-economically and promoting community participatory actions. We are committed to providing high-quality services that enhance children’s quality of life, address economic inequality, and strengthen community resilience through community-level cooperatives. To achieve these initiatives, Good Neighbors Zambia strives to expand its network and collaborate with diverse partners, including United Nations agencies and the government of the Republic of Zambia. Currently, Good Neighbors Zambia operates in four community development projects: Mapepe, Mpango, Chiwena, and Shibuyunji.
- [Cameroon](https://www.goodneighbors.org/country/cameroon/) - Good Neighbors established its field office in Cameroon on December 15, 2014, to ensure that boys and girls of all ages are protected against violence, abuse, and marginalization. This was amidst the humanitarian crises in the country caused by insecurity and violence in the neighboring Central African Republic and the influx of refugees from Northern Nigeria. In this regard, Good Neighbors Cameroon has prioritized protecting children and their rights, as they are the most vulnerable in this fragile context. The first field initiative began in 2015 for rural community development and was later extended to urban areas, including the Centre and South Regions, in 2016. In a significant move to address the health needs of some communities in the Centre Region, a project on Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTD), funded by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), became operational in 2019. Additionally, two new community development projects were initiated in the rural areas of the Far North Region of Cameroon in 2022 and 2024. Currently, Good Neighbors Cameroon is implementing four community development projects with nine community-level committees to strengthen the social and economic capacities of children, their families, and the community as a whole, with the ultimate goal of building a foundation for their self-reliance. Similarly, Good Neighbors Cameroon has partnered with the United Nations World Food Program (WFP), Global Affairs Canada (GAC), and KIA Motors to bring hope for an equitable, self-reliant community for the Cameroonian child.
- [Ethiopia](https://www.goodneighbors.org/country/ethiopia/) - Good Neighbors has been actively working in Ethiopia since 1997, starting during a crucial period of recovery from a 17-year civil war and severe poverty. Recognizing the dire needs of children, the most vulnerable group in the post-war era, the organization launched its first initiative in Addis Ababa’s Lideta Sub City, focusing primarily on enhancing access to education. Building on this initial success, Good Neighbors Ethiopia expanded its reach in 2010 by initiating a community development project in the Arsi Zone of the Oromia Region. This expansion continued in 2011 and 2012 with three additional projects in Sidama and Addis Ababa. In 2017, in partnership with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), the organization began a project promoting maternal and child health. Since then, Good Neighbors Ethiopia has extended its community development projects to further communities in need, while also providing support to those affected by conflicts, including internally displaced people from the Tigray Conflict, in collaboration with Japan Platform. Currently, Good Neighbors Ethiopia operates in eight regions: Amhara, Oromia, Benishangul Gumuz, Southern Ethiopia, Central Ethiopia, Sidama, Somali, and Tigray Regional States, as well as the city administration of Addis Ababa, managing a total of 11 projects. The organization supports over 13,500 children through its sponsorship program and benefits more than 75,000 community members. Good Neighbors Ethiopia collaborates with esteemed partners such as UNHCR, UNOCHA, KOICA, and the Refugees and Returnees Service (RRS) of Ethiopia to empower people and transform communities.
- [Malawi](https://www.goodneighbors.org/country/malawi/) - Good Neighbors Malawi, founded in 2008 and registered with the NGO Regulatory Authority, aims to transition communities from poverty to self-reliance through integrated projects in child protection, community development, and emergency relief. The organization launched its first community development program in Lilongwe District in June 2009. Since our inception, we have expanded our integrated programs in education, health, water and sanitation, livelihood, and advocacy. We have supported nearly 17,000 children with educational aid, providing scholarships at primary, secondary, and tertiary levels, and successfully helped over 10 students reach university despite challenging circumstances. Our child rights campaigns have led to the creation of the first by-law outlawing early marriage and protecting children, underscoring our commitment to eradicating child marriage and promoting child rights. Additionally, we support communities through livelihood programs such as the Smallholder Farmers Program, Village Loan Savings, and our social enterprise, Fairway, which offers smallholder farmers fair market access. Currently, Good Neighbors Malawi is driving positive change in three districts and ten communities across Lilongwe, Kasungu, and Mchinji districts. We work in close collaboration with various stakeholders, including government entities, civil society organizations, and United Nations agencies, to empower people and transform communities. Furthermore, as a member of the Council for Non Governmental Organisations in Malawi (CONGOMA), we contribute to fostering a conducive and collaborative environment for NGOs in Malawi.
- [Mozambique](https://www.goodneighbors.org/country/mozambique/) - Good Neighbors Mozambique, established in 2014, is committed to fostering the healthy development of vulnerable children in rural communities. In 2015, the organization launched its first comprehensive community development project in the Chichongue locality of Maputo province, one of the region’s most vulnerable rural areas. This project served as a foundation for addressing critical needs in education, health, and water & sanitation, with the ultimate goal of fostering self-reliance within the community. A key strategy for achieving this goal is community mobilization. We collaborate closely with committees dedicated to community development, organized by community leaders. By empowering sectoral committees in education, health, water & sanitation, and income generation, we aim to enhance community expertise and ensure the sustainability of our projects. These efforts are expected to lead to sustainable community self-reliance. Currently, Good Neighbors Mozambique is actively working across five provinces: Maputo, Gaza, Inhambane, Sofala, and Cabo Delgado. Our main areas of focus include education, health, emergency relief, water & sanitation, and income generation. We are implementing six community development projects and conducting water and sanitation projects in the Gaza and Cabo Delgado provinces, funded by foreign governments. - [Niger](https://www.goodneighbors.org/country/niger/) - Good Neighbors established a field office in Niger in 2012 with official authorization from the Ministry of the Interior and Decentralization, initially targeting the Hamdallaye commune in the Tillabéry region. Recognizing the commune’s urgent challenges, such as severe food insecurity, inadequate educational resources, and lack of basic infrastructure, Good Neighbors Niger quickly identified critical issues, including scarcity of school meals, educational materials, classroom space, child malnutrition, and poor living conditions for women, and embarked on comprehensive community development projects to address these issues. Over the past decade, we have launched initiatives in multiple sectors, including Health, Child Protection, Agriculture and Livestock, and Education, in collaboration with local governments and various ministries. Our projects have facilitated the construction of educational facilities, provision of essential school and health supplies, support for food distribution, and implementation of nutrition programs to combat malnutrition. Today, Good Neighbors Niger runs four major community development projects impacting over 22 villages. Our ongoing work focuses on education, food assistance, health and nutrition, school meals, and broader social policy and advocacy. Each initiative aligns with the strategic goals of the Nigerien government, ensuring our efforts contribute effectively to the sustainable development of the region.
- [South Sudan](https://www.goodneighbors.org/country/south-sudan/) - Good Neighbors launched its mission in South Sudan in 2013, initially responding to urgent humanitarian crises, including the armed conflict resulting from political and ethnic tensions in 2013 and the severe food crisis in 2015. Following these emergency responses, our efforts shifted towards long-term community development projects in Yei River State. These projects aim to build resilient and self-reliant communities through initiatives such as building schools and reducing disaster risks.
- [Rwanda](https://www.goodneighbors.org/country/rwanda/) - Good Neighbors launched its mission in Rwanda in 1994 amidst one of the gravest humanitarian crises of our time. As the country was experiencing unprecedented turmoil, we swiftly mobilized our organization’s first emergency relief team to the refugee camps in Goma, Zaire (now the Democratic Republic of Congo), in August to provide timely and life-saving assistance. This demonstrated our commitment to serving people in critical need. By 1995, recognizing the need to make a lasting impact, we established a field office in Kigali. Transitioning from initial emergency relief efforts, Good Neighbors Rwanda embraced an initiative of sustainable, systematic support, becoming one of the first countries for our community development projects. These projects are characterized by a community-inclusive and holistic approach to achieve self-reliance in communities. Currently, Good Neighbors Rwanda is making positive changes in six project areas, implementing various programs based on child sponsorship. These programs include child protection, education, health, water and sanitation, income generation, advocacy, and partnerships. As of 2024, our projects cover 22 out of 30 districts. In collaboration with esteemed partners like the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), the UN World Food Programme (WFP), the UN Population Fund (UNFPA), SBS, Community Chest of Korea, LG, Hyosung, various enterprises, and individual donors, we continue to strive to empower people and transform communities.

In Australia, programs have focused on supporting people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, including refugees and minority communities, in collaboration with government agencies, corporates, philanthropic foundations, community-based organizations and volunteers. Globally, child sponsorship support is directed to Vietnam, while community development projects and humanitarian aid are implemented through priority partners in Bangladesh, Mozambique, Philippines, Romania, Ukraine and Vietnam.

Since 2002, we have coordinate emergency relief, medical programs, and women’s empowerment through education and training programs, as well as community development projects. Our goal is to enhance the capacities of individuals and groups, rights-holders, employees, and civil society organizations to meet the opportunities and challenges of a changing Afghanistan. From the beginning, we have focused on health and education programs, mainly targeting women and girls as the core beneficiaries. Later, the program expanded to include additional intervention areas such as water, sanitation, hygiene, and emergency relief. Good Neighbors has primarily been working in the Kabul, Kunar, and Kapisa provinces but has extended its reach to more provinces such as Badakhshan, Paktika, Nangarhar, Herat, and others for emergency relief during humanitarian crises, such as the COVID-19 pandemic. - [Bangladesh](https://www.goodneighbors.org/country/bangladesh/) - Good Neighbors began its work in Bangladesh in August 1996 with the aim of improving the lives of children, women, and youths, and making good change for the world. Initially, our focus was on meeting the needs of disadvantaged children by establishing daycare centers, schools, and hostels. These programs served 154 children from poor families in Moulvibazar and ensured their safety, security, and health. In the subsequent year, we launched the Mother and Baby Care Center in Dhaka for pre-primary education and an agriculture project in Sirajganj, introducing the self-help group model for women’s savings. Later, we expanded our focus to include vulnerable children through our sponsorship program, providing services in education, health, and income generation as part of our long-term community development initiatives. Currently, Good Neighbors Bangladesh is active in 13 districts with 17 community development projects and 5 projects addressing specific needs. We also continue operating six schools directly. Each year, we mobilize approximately 60,000 children, 29,000 women, 2,000 volunteers, and 300 Community Health Workers (CHW). We have established long-term partnerships with organizations such as the UN World Food Programme (WFP), UNICEF, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, and the Embassy of Japan in Bangladesh, focusing on disaster risk reduction and climate change projects. We have also collaborated with Australian Aid and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).
- [Cambodia](https://www.goodneighbors.org/country/cambodia/) - Good Neighbors launched its mission in Cambodia in 2002, starting with a daycare feeding program and kindergarten classes in the Ouchrov district of Banteay Meanchey province. Expanding its mission, Good Neighbors registered with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2005 and began running holistic child protection programs based on sponsorship in 2007. In 2011, Good Neighbors Cambodia moved its strategic hub to Phnom Penh, expanding its program interventions to urban and rural areas across Phnom Penh, Banteay Meanchey, Battambang, Kratie, and Mondulkiri. Currently, it operates 6 community development projects and 3 bilateral projects funded by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). Since an agreement with the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports in 2006, Good Neighbors Cambodia has collaborated with various Cambodian government ministries, including Foreign Affairs, Rural Development, Health, and Labor & Vocational Training. It also partners with civil society organizations like Great Peace Cambodia, Khmer Youth Association, and Mission of Mobile, as well as companies.

We have been working in 17 sites in 10 provinces through Community Development Project. The provinces where we have been working are Aceh, North Sumatera, West Sumatera, West Java, DKI Jakarta, Jogjakarta, East Java, South Sulawesi, West Nusa Tenggara and East Nusa Tenggara. In implementing our development program at community, we have been working together with all stakeholder at the grassroots level such sub district leader, village leader and also with Community Development Committee(CDC). Within Japan, the organization is dedicated to enhancing living conditions for children by providing food assistance, particularly to single-parent families, which also contributes to reducing food loss and waste. Since its establishment, Good Neighbors has supported underserved communities regardless of ethnicity, religion, ideology, or geographical boundaries. Beginning with its first international project in Bangladesh in 1992, the organization has been steadfastly committed to improving child rights and fostering self-reliant communities in over 50 countries, reaching out to the most vulnerable people. Furthermore, it has responded to the most gravest humanitarian crises, from those in Somalia in 1993 and Rwanda in 1994 to those in Ukraine in 2022 and Türkiye and Syria in 2023. It has also addressed domestic issues such as child abuse, advocating for social change when the issue was not yet widely recognized. By creating a hotline for reporting abuse and implementing an integrated child protection system, Good Neighbors has raised public awareness and contributed to changes in relevant laws. Currently, it operates 37 child protection centers and 11 shelters for abused children in Korea, leading advocacy activities for child rights. Good Neighbors International is recognized for its transparent and accountable operations by governmental and private organizations, including Guide Star Korea. As an official and founding member of the Korea NGO Council for Overseas Development Cooperation (KCOC), it fosters collaboration among like-minded organizations.

During a period of political instability and increasing disparities between rural and urban living standards, this support has been crucial for achieving sustainable development, especially in the face of global challenges affecting livelihoods of people in the rural area, such as climate change. Since its inception, Good Neighbors Kyrgyz Republic has made significant strides in collaboration with residents and local authorities. The organization has enhanced the quality of school education, improved access to medical services, protected the rights of children and vulnerable groups, raised incomes through capacity building, provided essential equipment and products, upgraded infrastructure, and supported affected people by natural disasters. These efforts have benefited residents of over 80 villages across 6 provinces. Currently, Good Neighbors Kyrgyz Republic is implementing four community development projects and other collaboration projects including a multi-year rural development project funded jointly with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). The organization places special emphasis on strengthening existing partnerships and creating new ones. This strategic approach aims to contribute to the country’s development in line with state development programs and ensure long-term sustainability.
- [Laos](https://www.goodneighbors.org/country/laos/) - Good Neighbors Laos has been officially registered under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Laos since 2012. Since then, we have initiated two community development projects: one in Meun district, Vientiane province, and another in Mok district, Xiengkhuang province. These projects focus on community-based education initiatives, aiming to improve access to quality education services through integrated education efforts. Currently, Good Neighbors Laos operates under two significant agreements. The first is the Community-based Education Project, Phase III in Meun CDP, conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Sport and represented by the Vientiane Provincial Education and Sport Department. The second is the Mother and Child Health, Nutrition, and Hygiene Strengthening project in PakOu District, Luang Prabang province, in partnership with the Ministry of Health, represented by the Luang Prabang Provincial Health Department. To broaden our impact and encourage more actors to join our movement, Good Neighbors Laos has been actively building networks with various organizations. These include the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), the Korea Foundation for International Healthcare (KOFIH), as well as numerous Laotian civil society organizations and companies.
- [Mongolia](https://www.goodneighbors.org/country/mongolia/) - Good Neighbors Mongolia was established in 2006. Due to harsh weather conditions, a nomadic lifestyle, and historical and diplomatic issues, Mongolia has faced widespread poverty, leading to unequal social development, environmental pollution, and challenging living conditions for children. Recognizing the vulnerability of children in these environments, Good Neighbors Mongolia initiated nationwide research on the Protection of Child Rights and has expanded its efforts to make Mongolia a child-friendly country. We have been implementing community-focused projects based on the child rights and protection program in six districts of Ulaanbaatar city, as well as in Darkhan-Uul and Orkhon provinces. Thanks to the voluntary support of Mongolian citizens, volunteers, governments, non-governmental organizations, and international organizations, we have reached more than 233,000 children and their families in Mongolia, creating a positive impact on the communities we serve. Despite the challenges posed by climate change, the pandemic, and social turbulence, Good Neighbors Mongolia has never hesitated to extend a helping hand wherever needed. We continue our community development initiatives to support children and communities in reclaiming their dignity.
- [Myanmar](https://www.goodneighbors.org/country/myanmar/) - Good Neighbors International began its journey in Myanmar in 2006 as the Mingaladon Children Education Centre in Mingaladon Township, Yangon Region. In 2008, the organization expanded its efforts to include humanitarian aid, partnering with the Myanmar Baptist Churches Union to support the Bogale community affected by Cyclone Nargis. This pivotal experience led to the establishment of the head office in Yangon in 2009. Since then, Good Neighbors Myanmar has continuously implemented humanitarian assistance and community development programs across 10 project sites nationwide. The organization works closely with over 1,000 community development committee members and 155 volunteers, dedicated to improving the lives of those in targeted areas.
- [Nepal](https://www.goodneighbors.org/country/nepal/) - In 2002, when Good Neighbors began its interventions in Nepal, the country was experiencing insurgency, which adversely affected all areas of development, including education, the economy, and health. With only 53.7% of the population being literate (65.1% of men and 42.5% of women), there was a significant need to support the community in achieving the goal of education for all. Recognizing this urgent need, Good Neighbors International Nepal initiated its involvement as a development agency by implementing a project in the Sangla Village Development Committee of Kathmandu District, which aimed to provide educational benefits to vulnerable children in a homely environment. Transitioning from the initial project, which focused on only 16 children, Good Neighbors International Nepal adopted a more integrated approach, incorporating thematic areas such as child protection, education, public health, and livelihood through a community-inclusive and holistic strategy. Within two decades of engagement, Good Neighbors served 225,274 needy people in Nepal, including children, their families, and communities in 22 different districts of Nepal by partnering with 683 schools, 393 health facilities, and 141 cooperatives, in collaboration with esteemed partners such as the European Union (EU), UN-Habitat, World Food Programme (WFP), Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), the Ministry of Korea, Global Green Growth Institute, King Baudouin Foundation, Acronis, Amore Pacific, and the governments of Nepal.

When Good Neighbors first entered Tajikistan, the country faced significant socio-economic challenges following its civil war, which ended in 1997. The primary objective was to address critical societal needs, including improving access to education and health cares, for children who have been the most vulnerable and affected populations. Over the years, Good Neighbors has achieved several significant milestones. It has collaborated with various institutional, multilateral, and bilateral donors, such as GIZ, Swiss Development Cooperation, UNICEF, WFP, and the European Union. One notable achievement includes the successful advocacy for integrating Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) programs into national textbooks, which has greatly enhanced digital literacy across the country. Recognizing a number of populations affected from one of the most severe humanitarian crises in recent history, Good Neighbors initially focused on providing immediate emergency assistance to the affected Haitian population, using the Dominican Republic as a strategic hub for aid distribution. Recognizing the ongoing needs within the Dominican Republic itself, Good Neighbors formally established Good Neighbors Dominican Republic as a non-governmental organization in May 2010. The organization’s first community development project was launched in Los Guandules, Santo Domingo, in February 2012, marking the beginning of its long-term commitment to the Dominican Republic. Over the years, Good Neighbors Dominican Republic has expanded its operations to include additional projects in Los Cacaos, Yaguate, Las Javillas, and Sabana Larga. These projects encompass holistic community development initiatives, focusing on education, health, water and sanitation, and income generation to address various challenges faced by vulnerable populations. Currently, Good Neighbors Dominican Republic has positively impacted over 10,300 children, adolescents, and their communities. With the completion of this project, Good Neighbors established a local presence, Good Neighbors El Salvador, in 2018, to continuously improve the quality of life for vulnerable populations in El Salvador through comprehensive community development programs. Over the years, Good Neighbors has achieved several key milestones. The first community development project was launched in Ahuachapán in 2020, followed by a second one in Tacuba in 2022. - [Haiti](https://www.goodneighbors.org/country/haiti/) - Good Neighbors has been working in Haiti since the devastating earthquake in January 2010, which resulted in over 200,000 deaths and left more than a million people homeless. In the immediate aftermath, we provided essential aid, including food distribution, first-aid, medical care, and psychosocial support. In June 2010, we established an office in Haiti and initiated reconstruction efforts, focusing on building new schools and shelters. To address public health needs, we offered vector control support and hygiene training for local health workers, helping the health system operate effectively during cholera outbreaks. By 2012, our long-term reconstruction projects included constructing new homes, public latrines, and wells in Oranger. We expanded these efforts to Port-au-Prince in 2016, continuing to build essential facilities and infrastructure to support the community.
- [Nicaragua](https://www.goodneighbors.org/country/nicaragua/) - Good Neighbors initiated its interventions in Nicaragua in 2016 with a project to improve school infrastructure in the Tipitapa municipality. Later, to create a lasting impact, Good Neighbors International in Nicaragua began its first community development project in the Jinotepe municipality, supporting the development of 500 children. Currently, we are working in 96 communities in Carazo, assisting 8,207 children and 8,684 families. We are implementing various projects in education, health, environment, social economy, disaster risk reduction (DRR), child protection, and other areas.
- [Paraguay](https://www.goodneighbors.org/country/paraguay/) - Good Neighbors initiated its intervention in Paraguay by launching a project aimed at supporting vulnerable adolescents in San Lorenzo with vocational training at the Pedagogical Coexistence Center, in collaboration with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). Building on this foundation, Good Neighbors Paraguay was established in 2017, dedicated to aligning with Good Neighbors’ mission and values. The organization has since expanded its efforts in the country, implementing a variety of community development projects and initiatives designed to promote and protect the rights of children and adolescents. Today, we implement five community development projects in Areguá, San Lorenzo, Mariano Roque Alonso, Puerto Antequera (San Pedro), and Eusebio Ayala (Cordillera). Our programs focus on key areas including education, water and sanitation, food security and nutrition, promotion of children and adolescents’ rights, economic empowerment, inclusive communities, sustainable environment, and emergency aid. Through these efforts, we have positively impacted the lives of over 7,000 boys, girls, and adolescents across these communities.
- [Geneva (Switzerland)](https://www.goodneighbors.org/country/un-cooperation-office-in-geneva/) - Good Neighbors UN Cooperation Office was founded in Geneva in 2008 to represent Good Neighbors to the UN organizations and other international stakeholders, including UNHCR, UN Human Rights Council, WFP, and ICVA (International Council of Voluntary Agencies). It provides support to the Global Partnership Center and Good Neighbors’ partners through policy research and strategy development in line with emerging global humanitarian and development norms. It also contributes to the capacity building of Good Neighbors Partnership Countries in the area of UN Partnership, Human Rights Based Approach, and Refugee Programs.
- [Romania](https://www.goodneighbors.org/country/romania/) - Good Neighbors launched its mission in Romania in March 2022, amidst the armed conflict between Russia and Ukraine. To support safe mobility and protection, Good Neighbors swiftly mobilized an emergency response team to Suceava (Siret), Galați (Isaccea), and Constanța areas and provided transportation services, cash vouchers, and psychosocial support for people fleeing from the conflict, especially children and women. Good Neighbors collaborated with UNICEF in UNHCR’s Blue Dots Hubs to help the psychosocial recovery of children crossing borders in a child-friendly space. In the subsequent year, Good Neighbors, registered under the name Vecinii Buni, established a permanent office in Romania, recognizing the enduring needs of settled migrants and the importance of stable supply of relief goods such as food items and medicine to Ukraine. Vecinii Buni has worked with diverse grassroots organizations to build their capacity in response to humanitarian needs and coordinates inter-agency operations, continuing its mission in Galați. Currently, Good Neighbors Romania (Vecinii Buni) is making good changes in the seven project sectors across the diverse regions beyond Romania and into Ukraine, including Galati and Suceava in Romania and Odesa, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrivsk and Kyiv in Ukraine. In collaboration with esteemed partners like the Ministry of Foreign Affair of Japan and the Japan Platform, we continue to strive for empowering people and transforming communities.
- [Jordan](https://www.goodneighbors.org/country/jordan/) - Good Neighbors launched its mission in Jordan in July 2020, focusing on supporting vulnerable populations, including refugees, by addressing immediate humanitarian needs and promoting human rights and self-reliance. In 2021, we expanded our efforts to include long-term projects aimed at fostering sustainable community development. By 2022-2023, we had established partnerships and initiatives in 10 governorates, impacting 33 locations and 7 Palestinian camps, reaching 70 schools, and supporting 4,584 vulnerable girls, including 855 with disabilities. Today, Good Neighbors Jordan operates in Amman, Mafraq, Irbid, and Zarqa, working across sectors such as livelihood, water and sanitation, climate change, localization, protection, child protection, psychosocial support, and the green economy. Our initiatives now benefit over 45,000 individuals, including Jordanians and refugees from Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Libya, Palestine, and beyond. Through solidarity and long-term partnerships, we continue to empower people and transform communities.

We initially focused on improving the lives of migrant, rural, ethnic, and nomadic tribe communities. Our mission is to foster sustainable development and enhance the well-being of vulnerable children and communities. To achieve this, we emphasize holistic development through initiatives in education, health, vocational training, and community empowerment. These efforts have been concentrated in the southern region of India, including Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Andhra Pradesh. Currently, we are partnering with EFICOR (The Evangelical Fellowship of India Commission on Relief) to expand our community development initiatives.
- [United Kingdom](https://www.goodneighbors.org/country/united-kingdom/) - Founded in 2019, Good Neighbours UK is a registered charity dedicated to empowering vulnerable communities to overcome poverty, disaster, and oppression. We accomplish this by mobilizing resources to support our partners and ensuring the effective delivery of humanitarian and development projects. Additionally, we collaborate with universities across the United Kingdom to conduct research on global challenges and raise awareness about these issues. Initially, our efforts were focused on domestic projects within the United Kingdom. For example, we provided personal protective equipment (PPE) to grassroots organizations during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, established a community garden in York to combat social isolation in 2021, and worked with community groups to support refugees settling in the UK in 2023. Recognizing our expertise in international development, we shifted our focus exclusively to international projects in 2023. Currently, Good Neighbours UK is implementing projects in seven countries, using a holistic approach informed by research. Our efforts empower children, women, and people of all backgrounds and abilities to lead their own development.
- [Chad](https://www.goodneighbors.org/country/chad/) - Good Neighbors Chad is a humanitarian and development organization dedicated to supporting neglected, vulnerable, and marginalized populations without regard to race, nationality, religion, ideology, or geography. Since its establishment in October 2007, Good Neighbors Chad has focused on fostering positive change for children and empowering communities through various development projects. Our community development efforts have significantly increased humanitarian support, particularly for women and children. These address the needs of vulnerable populations through multi-sectoral projects in child protection, education, health and nutrition, income generation, water and sanitation, and advocacy. By providing essential services, we aim to empower individuals, promote well-being, eliminate gender-based violence, and ensure children receive a quality education. Through these initiatives, we have effectively reduced suffering and improved living conditions in our five project sites: Makodo, Kakam, Apagk, Walia, and Farcha-attéré. Furthermore, we have partnered with UNFPA since 2022, on the project “Building Community Resilience and Transforming Lives of Women and Youth in Humanitarian and Conflict High-Risk Provinces in Chad.”
- [Vietnam](https://www.goodneighbors.org/country/vietnam/) - Good Neighbors International registered its field office in Hanoi, Vietnam, on June 1, 2005. Starting with a project in Tan Lac District, Hoa Binh Province, Good Neighbors has implemented seven community development projects and 63 sponsorship and humanitarian aid projects in 26 provinces and cities across Vietnam, including Hanoi, Hoa Binh, Tuyen Quang, Ha Giang, Thanh Hoa, and Ho Chi Minh City. These projects have helped over 18,000 children in need through annual sponsorships, and more than 37,000 other children and 200,000 adults in the community. They have improved access to education, health care, sanitation, the environment, and income generation, providing knowledge, skills, and empowerment towards self-reliance and sustainable development. Good Neighbors’ efforts have been recognized by the Government of Vietnam, evidenced by six certificates of merit awarded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs continuously from 2017 to the present. In 2017, Good Neighbors received the Medal “For Peace and Friendship between Nations,” and in 2022, a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister as one of the top four NGOs making outstanding contributions to COVID-19 prevention.
