Good Neighbors USA, a registered nonprofit organization based in California, has been actively operating across the United States since 2008. Our mission is to support people in need both domestically and internationally, with a special emphasis on enhancing the lives of children and their communities.
Our primary initiatives include the 1:1 Child Sponsorship program, which assists children in vulnerable situations, and Community Development Projects conducted by organizations in Good Neighbors Global Partnership. We believe that for a child to achieve self-resilience, it is crucial for their family, school, and community to experience positive transformations. To facilitate these changes, we focus on six key areas: Education, Health & Nutrition, Water & Sanitation, Income Generation, Advocacy, and Emergency Relief.
Our 1:1 Child Sponsorship program helps children in vulnerable situations improve their health, nutrition, and access to quality education, operating in Guatemala, Nicaragua, Malawi, Chad, Niger, Nepal, the Philippines, and the Dominican Republic. We collaborate with 12 countries across Africa, Latin America, Eastern Europe, and Asia to deliver projects and in-kind donations to those most in need, extending our global reach and impact.
We assist women and children fleeing abuse by providing a comprehensive range of basic needs, recovery, and self-sufficiency services, including emergency shelter and transitional housing.
Our interventions align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We contribute to SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities).
