At the 2025 Humanitarian Networks and Partnership Week (HNPW), Good Neighbors took part not only by participating in the sessions but also by we operating an exhibition booth, highlighting our innovative Psychosocial Support (PSS) programs for children affected by crisis and disaster. Our approach is rooted in inclusivity and child protection, offering four types of PSS interventions designed for three distinct age groups. Central to these programs is the creation of child-friendly spaces that foster recovery through community- and family-based support.
To amplify our advocacy, we distributed masking tape with the message “Every Child, Every Right, Even in a Crisis,” underscoring our belief that children’s rights must be protected at all timesㅡeven in crisis. Among all booths at the event, Good Neighbors was the only one to focus specifically on child protection, making our presence stand out to many visitors, including practitioners, donors, and UN agency representatives.
The booth served as a strategic platform to raise awareness, share field-tested practices, and build new partnerships. Many attendees expressed strong interest in our child-centered PSS approach, particularly its emphasis on localization and community engagement in emergency contexts.
As we look ahead, Good Neighbors will continue to strengthen our emergency response efforts in line with global trends, deepen our field-based expertise, and always keep children’s protection at the heart of our mission.
About HNPW 2025.
Organized annually by UNOCHA since 2015, HNPW is one of the world’s largest gatherings of humanitarian actors, held in a hybrid format from March 17 to 28, with the first week dedicated to online sessions and the second week hosted in person at the International Conference Center in Geneva, Switzerland. This year’s event brought together over 8,600 participants from UN agencies, NGOs, government, academia, the private sector, and militaries to discuss shared challenges and innovative solutions in humanitarian action.
In total, 334 sessions were organized (94 remote, 219 hybrid, and 31 in person), along with 67 exhibition booths. Sixty humanitarian networks and partnerships held meetings under the framework of nine Areas of Common Concern (AOCC), including key themes such as Anticipatory Action, Inclusion, Climate Crisis, and Emergency Response in a Pandemic. Cross-cutting “Enablers” such as data quality, logistics, and training were also highlighted as critical tools in advancing effective humanitarian response.
