Humanitarian Assistance

Good Neighbors implement diverse humanitarian programs at community, national, and global levels, collaborating with affected countries and UN agencies to ensure timely and effective aid delivery, regardless of the type of disaster.

People are protected from disasters

Disasters, exacerbated by climate change and armed conflict, cause significant human and economic losses, disproportionately affecting vulnerable communities, particularly women and children. While emergency response addresses immediate needs and supports early recovery, long-term resilience requires a proactive approach. Protecting people from disasters is a fundamental responsibility, highlighting the need for preparedness, resilience-building, and swift humanitarian action. Strengthening community capacities through awareness campaigns and community-based preparedness initiatives is essential in mitigating disaster impacts.

Humanitarian assistance plays a crucial role in ensuring the timely delivery of aid and facilitating the recovery of affected populations. Additionally, upholding refugee rights is vital, with a focus on fostering self-reliance through livelihood support and capacity-building initiatives. Ensuring access to fundamental rights such as life, health, and security is imperative in creating a safer, more resilient world where communities can withstand and recover from disasters effectively.

Our Focus on Humanitarian Assistance

Enabling communities to be resilient against disasters

We work with the community to build the capacity to prepare for disasters and minimize the damage. Focus is placed on raising people’s awareness of disasters, and developing community-based actions for disaster preparedness, which helps the communities become resilient.

Supporting people to recover from disasters

We support and and protect those who suffer from disasters. We make sure that the necessary aid is available to the victim as soon as possible in the event of a disaster. In addition, we will provide assistance to the victims for their rapid recovery to daily life.

Ensuring refugees’ rights

We provide assistance for refugees to be able to enjoy their rights and strengthen their self-reliance. We will engage in activities to ensure the refugees’ right to life and health. Furthermore, we will strengthen their self-reliance through livelihood and capacity building activities.
