Good Neighbors’ COVID-19 Global Response

Good Neighbors has published a report of “Good Neighbors COVID-19 Global Response” on August 31, 2020. This report contains Good Neighbors’ principles of actions to protect our children and community from the threats of COVID-19, as well as Good Neighbors’ achievements during the first half of 2020.

Since the early stage of the COVID-19 outbreak in China, Good Neighbors has promptly reacted by providing emergency support to Chinese people and then delivering hygiene kits, personal protective equipment, testing kits, and food to affected populations across the world. But as time lapses it is becoming clear that this is not a temporary crisis to be solved through relief but an evolving developmental challenge that will shake entire countries and deprive the opportunities of whole generations.

In this respect, Good Neighbors launched a comprehensive strategy in response to the COVID-19 crisis in order to lead transformative changes required by this historic challenge. Good Neighbors’ unprecedented efforts against the COVID-19 are to protect the lives of the most vulnerable and to promote community-based resilience in our communities.

No one single entity can solve this global challenge alone. Good Neighbors is working together with governments, private sectors, international agencies, and other civil societies to ensure that no one is left behind from enjoying safe and healthy lives.
