N’Djamena, August 28, 2024 – Olympic archer Israel Madaye has joined Good Neighbors as a global influencer, supporting the organizations’ initiatives to empower children in African countries.
Madaye, a Chadian athlete who gained international recognition for his unwavering spirit during the Paris 2024, will collaborate with Good Neighbors—a global nonprofit organization working in 11 African countries—to advocate for children’s rights to education, protection, and a nurturing environment. The organization believes that Madaye’s inspiring story will encourage children facing diverse adversities.
“I am honored to collaborate with Good Neighbors to bring good changes to the lives of children. I hope that African children, despite the challenges they face, will continue to dream big and strive for their goals,” Madaye shared, expressing his enthusiasm.
“We believe that Israel Madaye’s journey, marked by his unwavering spirit, will inspire hope and optimism among children worldwide,” said Yong-ki Choi, the representative of Good Neighbors Chad.
Through this collaboration, Good Neighbors and Madaye will continue to address the barriers that prevent children in African countries from realizing their dreams and aspirations.
Israel Madaye, who represented Chad in the 2024 Summer Olympics, captured global attention during the men’s individual archery round of 64. In a defining moment, Madaye scored just 1 point with his final arrow in the second set. While some might see this as a setback, it became a symbol of the Olympic spirit, winning the admiration of fans worldwide. His journey to Paris, achieved under challenging conditions, has made him an icon of overcoming adversity.
