Jakarta, May 11, 2024—Gugah Nurani Indonesia, part of the Good Neighbors Global Partnership, announces the launch of its Virtual Run & Ride event titled “Run, Ride, and Rise 2024: Better Future for Children.” This initiative, part of the Good Water Project, is designed to support the children of East Nusa Tenggara by providing them with essential access to clean water, crucial for their health and education.
In conjunction with National Children’s Day on July 23, Cause ID and Gugah Nurani Indonesia are collaborating to address the severe water scarcity in East Nusa Tenggara. The region experiences a prolonged dry season, significantly affecting children’s daily lives. They often miss educational opportunities due to the need to collect water. By running or cycling, participants can directly contribute to easing the water collection burden on these children, helping them secure a brighter future.
This year’s event categories include a 7K walk/run and a 23K ride, offering flexibility to participants who may complete the distances in one or several sessions. The activity period is scheduled from June 15, 2024, to July 7, 2024, allowing participants 23 days to accomplish their goals.
Participants can join the event by downloading the Cause Virtual Run application, which is available on both the App Store and Google Play Store. Upon installation, users may sign in with their details and register at the registration page, making a minimum donation or additional contribution. The registration window opens on May 16, 2024, and will remain open until June 9, 2024.
Gugah Nurani Indonesia encourages participants to live a healthy life while helping the need for clean water in remote areas of the country.
