Guided by the aspirations of Good Neighbors, Good Neighbors Philippines was founded in 2008 to support the most vulnerable children and communities, particularly those afflicted by poverty and devastated by natural disasters. Over time, Good Neighbors Philippines’ focus has expanded to provide ongoing humanitarian aid and development support, emphasizing community-driven engagement in child protection and education, youth empowerment, health, disaster risk reduction, economic development, and climate change adaptation. The commitment of Good Neighbors Philippines remains steadfast in fostering resilient and sustainable communities in the Philippines.
Children are the heartbeat of our programming. Good Neighbors is committed to safeguarding their rights through a comprehensive strategy. We protect children from violence and abuse, ensure access to clean water and sanitation, support basic health services in their communities and schools, and empower parents with financial literacy and sustainable livelihoods.
We advocate equitable access to quality education by ensuring essential resources such as water and energy reach underserved schools. Our training programs equip educators with essential skills and tools to enhance their effectiveness in the classroom. Additionally, we actively involve the youth in tackling global challenges, and offer scholarships to talented yet disadvantaged students, opening doors to brighter futures.
Good Neighbors contributes to eradicating hunger by empowering communities to be self-sufficient. Through sustainable agricultural practices, skill-building initiatives, and fostering economic opportunities, we create a pathway to a more equitable future.
We recognize the challenges of those living in disaster-prone areas and proactively work towards community protection. Through preparedness training, climate change adaptation, livelihood protection, or immediate relief in times of calamity, we stand with our communities and work with governments and their constituents to ensure they are able to build back better after disasters.
